We are the squirrels. We are the gardeners.
We’re a bit nervy...so many dogs! See us zig zag our escape up to the treetops. Now we scamper round and down, furly, curly bushy tailed, to the ground.
Our territories range across the park with hidden stores of nuts, berries and seeds. But you’ll not find them. Sometimes I hide them so well even I forget where they are buried! (and so new the woodland trees are sewn).
We nest with our babies in the hollow boles of oaks and planes, with the bird alarm system to keep us safe and sane.
In the Interspecies Cultural Assembly we represent all the small mammals - rabbits, rats and bats of Finsbury Park.
